Rietveld, Gerrit T.This chair, also known as the Schroeder Chair (after the house in Utrecht for which it was designed), is an icon of the De Stijl movement.
Designed in 1918 by Rietveld, the Red and Blue chair is a 20th Century design classic.
The chair has a solid beech wood frame lacquered in black and yellow and a seat and back in plywood lacquered in red and blue.
Cassina is the exclusive licensed and authorized manufacturer of Gerrit Rietveld designs world-wide. Each piece is numbered with an engraved signature and comes with certification to verify its authenticity.
